White people, when you say things like “sit your white ass down” to another white person who’s being racist, I understand where you’re coming from. You want to call someone out while pointing to yourself as a white person who Gets It.
But still.
It makes you sound ridiculous - like you don’t realize you’re white. Like you don’t realize you could also make similar mistakes at any time because of the way white people are socialized to uphold white supremacy. You should probably just call them out without the weird self-referential-but-not-really stuff.

Although I know I am also white soooo, but it always feels super weird when white feminists (like myself) talk about “white feminists” in the third person like they’re not apart of that group. It kinda makes me think you don’t recognize that you too are a white feminist.
